Helping Communities in Need

For Our People and Environment

The Menindee Water Run was founded by Mal Highet.  Mal, a truckie who grew up in Menindee, began organising fresh water deliveries to the rural town after the devastating fish kills in early 2019.  What began as raising money for water has turned into a massive effort by many, who often work behind the scenes, to help people in NSW and SA have access to fresh water.

The Menindee Water Run and its supporters tirelessly lobbied the NSW Government for new water tanks, which were generously funded by NSW and delivered to Menindee residents by the Menindee Water Run.  In March, generous donations of water filters by Puretec and the Demo Club of Broken Hill, were delivered and installed by the Menindee Water Run.  The towns of William Creek and Maree recently had fresh water delivered by Mal and his team in July 2019.
